Steps to follow when switching
Step 1: Speak to Your Healthcare Provider

Step 2: Stop Taking Mounjaro
After your last dose, you can stop Mounjaro. No tapering is needed .
Step 3: Wait 7 Days Before Starting Wegovy
Wait at least 7 days to allow Mounjaro to leave your system and reduce side effect risk.
Step 4: Start Wegovy on a Consistent Day
Begin your first Wegovy injection on the same weekday you usually injected Mounjaro.
Step 5: Monitor for Side Effects
Common side effects of Wegovy include nausea, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, constipation,
fatigue, and headache. They usually improve as your body adjusts.
Step 6: Regular Follow -Ups
Check in with your prescriber to review progress, adjust doses, and address any side effects.
