Hemocane cream is used to treat the pain and discomfort caused by haemorrhoids (piles) or anal fissures (crack or tear). The non greasy, non staining cream contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic to relieve the itching, burning pain and discomfort. Zinc oxide and bismuth oxide, when applied locally, has mild astringent (shrink) actions and provides a soothing, protective action on mucous membranes and raw surfaces. Benzoic acid and Cinnamic acid have mild antiseptic properties to support perianal hygiene.
An adult - apply morning and night and after bowel movements until the condition is controlled.
Cream is inserted into the rectum (via an applicator) and/or externally in the anal region.
Patients should thoroughly wash their hands after use of the product.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using Hemocane Cream. As lidocaine could pass to the baby and may be excreted in breast milk (albeit in very small amounts), it is particularly important to use Hemocane Cream as directed.
Do not use Hemocane Cream if you have a known history of allergy toward Lidocaine and any of other components of the product actives and ingredients.
